Not Granny's Bangle Bracelet

Gorgeous and Fun! As the name states, this is Not Granny's Bangle Bracelet. (Now pause for a moment to say it with an ATTITUDE. Ready?)

This is Not. Granny's. Bangle. Bracelet.

This bracelet is my new favorite. I chose colors to go with a sundress I have that has a black top with the maxi skirt in bright turquoise, yellow, red, and green. Both of these will work well. Made simply with Aunt Lydia's Size 10 thread, a traditional granny pattern, and a size 7 hook, this soft and malleable bracelet is so comfortable and light, you can wear it every day. The most recently color I've used is Natural and it's so lovely. Don't you think?

Materials:

Aunt Lydia's Size 10 Crochet Thread
Steel Hook Size 7/ 1.5mm
Scissors
Needle the appropriate size for this thread

Special instructions:

Read all instructions before beginning. Each row can be a new color. Work with any colors of your choice. For ease, fasten off,  and break the thread after every row. You may start a new round in any corner; mixing it up makes it look even. Starting chain counts as a stitch. If your first square does not measure what mine measures, you will need to adjust your tension or your hook size. Not doing so will cause your bangle to be a different size.

Square width =  1.5″
6 squares = 9″ bangle
Note:  Model's wrist is pictured and it measures 6″. Model's forearm measures 9″.

Abbreviations:

ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet
xs – times

To start, ch6, join with a sl st to form ring.
R1:  ch2, work 2dc in the ring, ch3, *3dc in ring, ch3* 3 times, join with a sl st in top of ch2, fasten off, break yarn.

Amazing, I can't wait to begin! Just a newbie question, how do you block it once closed? Thanks!

You could block each square individually or wet your piece, tug on it gently, and allow it to air dry.
