Easy Peasy Pompom Pumpkins Yarn Crafts

Easy Peasy Pompom Pumpkins

Make these Easy Peasy Pompom Pumpkins with this easy peasy tutorial. As far as yarn crafts are concerned, it doesn't get too much easier than this. The main thing is deciding what color pumpkins to make. Squash grow in so many different colors from white and ivory including every shade to deep maroon with purple hues. The maroon with purple hues is my favorite which is why I chose to use Lion Brand's Homespun in Fire. The other is Red Heart Super Saver.

Let's get started with this simple project that takes less than 5 minutes. Grab some scrap yarn or something fancy.

Once they are finished, glue them to picture frames or use them for a banner or table decor.

Start with the yarn of your choice for the pumpkin and another for the stem.

Have scissors and glue handy to dab in the center if you wish to store them.

Place a 12″ strand of yarn (stem colour) between your middle finger and ring finger.

Holding the stem yarn with your thumb and index finger, gently wrap the pumpkin yarn around your middle finger, ring finger, and pinkie.

Tie the stem yarn firmly around the pumpkin yarn and gently slide it off your fingers.

Loosely tie slip knots to create the texture in the stem.

At this point, you have some lovely round pumpkins!

Continue to turn them into fuzzy Pompom Pumpkins by inserting your scissors in the loops and snipping around carefully.
