Scrubbie Free Crochet Pattern

Crochet your own reusable cotton balls or small 3.5″ scrubbies. Pamper yourself or Baby with eco-friendly cloths you crochet yourself. Be sure to use cotton to create the softest, most delicious, crocheted scrubbies to remove makeup smoothly and clean gently around your eyes. Baby will appreciate the softness as the rounded edges clean around neck, ears, and other sensitive areas. These rounded washcloths, made the perfect size, will not flip or fold in your hand as you work around sensitive areas.

Sugar n Cream worsted weight cotton– 2.5 oz makes approx. 16 small cotton pads
Yarn needle


ch- chain
sc- single crochet
tr- triple crochet
ea- each
st- stitch
sts- stitches

Work in a the round.

The pattern is a sequence of 2 alternating stitches- tr, sc, tr, sc….

Triple/treble stitches will pop out the back.

Round 1: Magic circle (or ch2), sc6 in the loop (or sc6 in 2nd ch from hook), join w/ slip stitch, ch1, do not turn

Round 2: 2 sc each st around- 12st, join w/ sl st, ch1, turn. – 12 sts

Round 3: Tr in same st as turning chain, sc & tr in the next stitch, *sc, tr & sc in the next, tr, sc & tr (repeat from * around 2 times), sc, tr & sc in the last, join w/ sl st, ch1, turn. – 18 sts

Round 4: Tr in same st as turning ch, sc, tr & sc in the next stitch, *tr, sc, tr & sc in same st (repeat from * around 5 times) tr & sc same st in the last st, join w/ sl st. – 24 sts

You may stop for the reusable cotton balls or washcloths for toddler hands. Fasten off and sew in the ends.

If you’d like a scrubbie, ch1, turn, and continue to round 5.

Round 5: *Tr in same st as turning ch, sc, tr, sc & tr in the next stitch (repeat from * around 6 times) tr & sc same st in the last st, join w/ sl st. – 30 sts

Fasten off, break yarn, weave in the ends.
