Coraline in Rio Mini Wrap crochet pattern

Finally! Here is the Coraline in Rio Mini Wrap crochet pattern. It’s been some time since I’ve had the opportunity to update you on Coraline’s sabbatical. Last you probably recall, she was in Minden for her sister Penelope’s wedding where Penelope fell in love with the Coraline in Minden Oversized Cowl Wrap. Well, after that is when Coraline, Penelope and her husband, plus the rest of the family decided to go to Aspen together for a reunion instead of the tradition reception and honeymoon. Coraline put off her trip to Rio and before you know it, they were asking me for all sorts of items!

Coraline in Rio Mini Wrap crochet pattern by Simply Collectible

(Coraline sends me payment and shipping costs while she travels the world and now she has her sister Penelope ordering from me. You get to benefit from the crochet patterns I create.)

Anyhow, this mini wrap crochet pattern was already in the works for Coraline’s trip and I had just completed Whimsical Penelope’s Floral Slouch (Penelope’s birthday present) and her pillow using Whimsical Penelope’s Merry Go Round which was originally designed to create a special pillow for a chair she’d just refinished.

Anyhow…! Coraline missed Carnival, but had an amazing time in Aspen. (Coraline in Aspen Cowl and Fingerless Mitts crochet patterns are coming soon. I’m telling you. She is keeping me busy!) She even met some amazing people who knew her cousins from Reno. Those new friends ended up kind of taking her to Brazil with them where they parted ways. As she tells it, one of them was a pilot and they flew to Miami to board a cruise liner. From there, the rest of the story blurs in my mind, but she was only off schedule by about 2 weeks. (I don’t know why I find it odd that she was allowed to take her bike on the cruise liner.)

She has been taking this sabbatical very seriously and has gone back and forth from Rio to Dominica. She wears me out and inspires me all in the same breath. As a matter of fact, she’s still there some 4-5 months later- I think. I lost track of time since my family relocated.

I hope you enjoy Coraline in Rio Mini Wrap crochet pattern. It’s light, airy, and refreshing- just like Coraline.

If you look at the images above, the main image shows the wrap across the front and draped over the shoulders. The second image shows the wrap rolled up into rosettes and joined on the side with my Shawl Toggle invention.
