Nothing like a little fun in your towel crochet pattern! When I saw these colors sitting together, I knew they needed to be married for this glorious piece. Who has enough crochet towels? Not me! My entire family loves them.

Towel crochet pattern

This is a little foot towel I made for myself, but it ended up as a hand towel so I'm off to make more now. We are delighted with all our crocheted towels and this crochet towel pattern might be one of our favorites. Check it out!

Yarn – Worsted weight cotton – Sugar n Cream by Yarnspirations, 2.5 oz/70.9g – 5 balls total (Tangerine, Yellow, Hot Green, Hot Blue, Hot Purple)

Materials – US H/8 5mm hook, yarn needle

Difficulty – Easy

Size – 25” L, 18” W

Gauge – Not crucial for this pattern

Stitch Guide in American Terms

DC – Double crochet

Special Stitches – This modified work in the spaces between the 2 DCs of the previous row that make a modified v-stitch.

Notes – Multiples of 2+3. This pattern it worked flat. Color changes are worked at the end of each row. Turning chain counts as a stitch. Starting at row 2, you'll work in the spaces between the 2 DCs of the previous row that make a modified v-stitch.

Instructions:

Using Tangerine, chain 63.
Row 1: 2 DC in the 5th stitch from the hook, * skip 1, 2 DC in the next stitch, repeat from * across 28 times, skip 1, DC in the last joining Yellow, chain 3, turn. – 60 DC total.
Row 2: Skip the first space (between the stitches of the previous row), 2 DC in the next space (between the 2 DCs of the previous row), * skip the next space, 2 DC in the next space, repeat from * across 28 times, DC in the top of the turning chain from the previous row joining Hot Green, chain 3, turn – 60 DC.
Row 3: Repeat row 2 joining Hot Blue at the end of the row.
Row 4: Repeat row 2 joining Hot Purple at the end of the row.
Row 5: Repeat row 2 joining Hot Blue at the end of the row.
Row 6: Repeat row 2 joining Hot Green at the end of the row.
Row 7: Repeat row 2 joining Yellow at the end of the row.
Row 8: Repeat row 2 joining Tangerine at the end of the row.
Row 9: Repeat row 2 joining Yellow at the end of the row.
Row 10: Repeat row 2 joining Hot Green at the end of the row.
Row 11: Repeat row 2 joining Hot Blue at the end of the row.
Row 12: Repeat row 2 joining Hot Purple at the end of the row.
Row 13: Repeat row 2 joining Hot Blue at the end of the row.
Row 14: Repeat row 2 joining Hot Green at the end of the row.
Row 15: Repeat row 2 joining Yellow at the end of the row.
Row 16: Repeat row 2 joining Tangerine at the end of the row.
Row 17: Repeat row 2 joining Yellow at the end of the row.
Row 18: Repeat row 2 joining Hot Green at the end of the row.
Row 19: Repeat row 2 joining Hot Blue at the end of the row.
Row 20: Repeat row 2 joining Hot Purple at the end of the row.
Row 21: Repeat row 2 joining Hot Blue at the end of the row.

Finishing: Fasten off and weave in your ends.
