Double V Slouch Beanie Hat Crochet Pattern

Good news: beanies are back. I mean, were they ever really out?

All I know is that beanies are popping up everywhere and I’m hopping on that bandwagon like there’s no tomorrow.

I love crocheting hats because they’re fun, easy, and can be made in high volume.

This slouchy beanie is a perfect option that works with virtually everyone’s style.

I personally hate when hats are too tight and slick your hair down. That’s why this beanie pattern is perfect.

It has just the right amount of slouchy stretch to allow you to style it loosely without cementing your hair to your face.

Plus, the texture is a perfect mix of classic and contemporary.

This pattern is super simple and is great for all levels. Plus, as a perk, it can be transformed into a messy bun hat as well.

2 styles with one pattern—it doesn’t really get much easier than that.

If this looks intimidating that is ok. I have a Crochet Fundamentals class that shows you just how easy it is to start making a simple beanie! Check out the step by step video classes here and watch FREE for 2 days.

Double V Slouch Beanie Hat Crochet Pattern. This beanie pattern is perfect - it has just the right amount of slouchy stretch to stay loosely on your head.

Well I have made 3 of these beanies, 2 in DK weight yarn and 2 different size hooks but couldn't get the sizes indicated. Then I tried with Worsted Weight yarn with the appropriate hook size but still couldn't get the size indicated. What am I doing wrong?

I am very confused with this pattern. It's like some of it is missing for the increase rows. Cause 48 stitches is not wide enough for the hat.

It looks like a lovely Beanie hat to crochet, would be more helpful with a video that shows visual person's how to do it step by step. Just a thought.😏

@Kathy from what I read of the pattern it says - Ch 2, [2 dc in next st] 11 times, dc in same st as beginning ch 2, join with a sl st to top of first dc. 24 dc Which means after your chain 2, your do 2 dc in the next st till you come to beginning st and join with a sl st.,

I’m having trouble with the first round. “Row 2 says 2dc in the 2nd space from the chain, then 2dc in each space around 10 times”Where is the space between these stitches?

I have tried and tried. I find this pattern very hard to follow. Am disappointed as it looks and is designed like something I would enjoy making
