Crochet Cowl Pattern – Coraline in San Francisco Cowl Wrap

Crochet Cowl Pattern

The latest in the line, Coraline in San Francisco Cowl Wrap is a free crochet cowl pattern. With more than 8 different ways to wear this cowl wrap, it is the most versatile in the line.

This crochet cowl pattern is designed to be worn in 8 different ways including as a shawl, open scarf, circle scarf, and wrapped cowl.

It uses buttons to create versatility so that you can close up your cowl or leave it open for different wrapping options.

When I started my Coraline in Morocco Cowl, I just knew I needed to try some variations and I could not stick to any single one, and so there were two- and now three. (Find the Coraline in Morocco Cowl HERE and see the difference in width by scrolling down the page past the pattern.)

I made this special for Coraline. She travels solo and goes wherever the culture leads. Yes. It's CORAline, not Caroline. She's headed to San Francisco next week and loves the other cowls I've made for her as she's been on sabbatical. She wanted a wrap this time for her cool morning bike rides to the gallery. Coraline doesn’t crochet, but she's starting to wish she did.

This 4-skein pattern works up quickly and is easy intermediate.

I purchased two patterns from you on Etsy and I only got one. Is there a place where I can see patterns I have bought on Etsy?

Hi, Susan! I'm so sorry I'm just seeing this message. Did everything work out? Under your profile, there is a spot called Purchases and everything should be listed there. Please let me know. Thank you for your support!

I love the pattern Coraline in San Francisco. I would like to make it in a smaller yarn, I am not happy with things I have made in Bulky yarn. For a spring, or summer one, how would it look to make it in #3 or #4 yarn? Would it drape right?

Thank you for your kind words, Nancy! The drape just depends on the yarn because as you know, some are really not "drape friendly" as they can be stiff. If you do change the weight of the yarn, you'll end up with a much smaller piece. Perhaps I just need to bite the bullet and create a light weight Coraline? ;)
