Rainbow Daze free Washcloth/ Dishcloth crochet pattern

As they say, sometimes you got to make your own rainbows and in our case, crochet it up! This super fun pattern is easy and quick to do. Everyone needs a little color in their life and the Crochet Rainbow Washcloth is a great opportunity for this.

Irresistible colors aren't they? Made with Lily Sugar n' Cream yarn, you'll be making these for all your friends.

This Cute Rainbow Daze Dishcloth can also be used as a washcloth or whimsical coaster. At a length of 7 inches, it can cover quite a bit of area and clean a lot of little faces or even glassware. It's super easy to work up and you can finish one in about 15 minutes! Make a set for your craft fair inventory or for baby shower gifts.

Skill Level: Easy 

Materials: 

Yarn: Worsted weight cotton 
1 yd of each green, purple 
2 yds of each blue, light green 
4 yds of each yellow, orange, pink 

Hook: 
US size H/8 (5mm) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge 

Notions: 
Scissors 
Yarn needle 

Size: Approximately 7 inches wide 

Gauge: Gauge is not critical for this project. 

Pattern uses US crochet terms.

Pattern Notes: 
The ch-2 at the beginning of each row counts as a stitch. 

To start a new color, insert hook into the first st, yarn over with new color, and pull up a loop.

Fasten off at the end of each row. Do not turn your work. 

Pattern is worked flat.

Instructions

Using green, ch 3 

Row 1: 6 hdc in the second chain from the hook, fasten off. 6 sts 

Row 2: Using purple, ch 2, hdc in same st, 2 hdc in each st across, fasten off. 12 sts

Row 3: Using blue, ch 2, hdc in same st, hdc in next st, *2 hdc in the next st, hdc in the next st, repeat from * across, fasten off. 18 sts 

Row 4: Using light green, ch 2, hdc in same st, hdc in next 2 sts, *2 hdc in the next st, hdc in next 2 sts, repeat from * across, fasten off. 24 sts 

Row 5: Using yellow, ch 2, hdc in same st, hdc in next 3 sts, *2 hdc in the next st, hdc in next 3 sts, repeat from * across, fasten off. 30 sts 

Row 6: Using orange, ch 2, hdc in same st, hdc in next 4 sts, *2 hdc in the next st, hdc in next 4 sts, repeat from * across, fasten off. 36 sts 

Row 7: Using pink, ch 2, hdc in same st, hdc in next 5 sts, *2 hdc in the next st, hdc in next 5 sts, repeat from * across, fasten off. 42 sts 

Weave in ends.
