There’s nothing better than having a go-to accessory that you know will work for almost any outfit or occasion.

That’s exactly the role this pretty and easy crochet cowl fulfills.

I wanted something warm, versatile, and trendy to pair with my outfits for the cooler seasons, and I couldn’t be happier with the result.

I love to wear mine as a double wrapped cowl, but also find it to be the perfect accessory to wear as a shawl to dinner or weddings.

It’s truly a one-stop-shop and I find myself reaching for it all the time. I hope you will too!

Am I missing something with this pattern as no where does it call for buttons. The pattern is crochet in rounds not rows so how are you able to wear it as an open scarf?

Hi Mary,

Sorry about that! There's been a mix-up when updating this post. The button part mentioned was meant to be for this pattern, https://simplycollectiblecrochet.com/2015/01/coraline-in-san-francisco-free-cowl-crochet-pattern/

We've updated both posts now.

Thank you for pointing that out!

I have a lot of yarn and make sweaters, to hats to child a baby items. I'm trying to finish a poncho which requires large buttons. Thank you so much!!!
