MATERIALS:

Hook: 6mm

Yarn: 6 skeins of Blue Sky Organic Cotton in Ink (approx. 800 yards), 2 skeins of Blue Sky Organic Cotton in Tulip (approx. 160 yards)

Tools: Scissors, tapestry needle

ABBREVIATIONS:

st = stitch

ch = chain

sl = slip stitch

Hdc: half double crochet

Hdc2tog: half double crochet 2 st together, dec

Sc: single crochet

SPECIAL INFORMATION: Gauge: 8 rows of 11 st = 4”

FINISHED SIZE: Front length: 18.5 (18.5, 19, 19)”

Back Length: 23 (23, 23.5, 23.5)”

Bust: 38.5 (43, 47.5, 51.5)”

Sleeve is 21” long, 16” around the arm opening, 12” around the elbow, and 18” around the cuff

PATTERN:

Front:

Ch 65,

Row 1: Hdc into the 2nd ch from the hook, and in each ch across. Ch 1, turn

Rows 2- 28: Hdc into each st across, 65 hdc.

Row 29: Place st marker in the middle st, with 32 st on each side. Hdc to st marker, ch 1, turn

Row 30: Hdc2tog in first 2 st, hdc to end.

Rows 31-38: Repeat rows 29 & 30

After the last row, reattach yarn to the other side of the work and repeat to form the v neck

Back (Ink)

Ch 65, hdc into each st across

Rows 1-47: Hdc into each st across for 65 st.

Sleeve (Make two):

Ch 50 (Ink)

Rows 1-2: Hdc across

Rows 3-8: Hdc2tog the first two and last two st, with a hdc in each st between

Rows 9-27: Hdc in each st across

Rows 28-33: Ch 1, hdc into same st. Hdc into each st across, making 2 hdc in the last st

Rows 34-45 (Tulip): Hdc in each st around

Assembly & finishing:

Line up the front and back pieces, and whip stitch shoulder together. Measure 8 inches from tip of shoulder down, and whip stitch the sides together from that point downward on both sides. Lay the sleeves in place and whip st together. Turn sleeve wrong side out and whip st down the length of the sleeve. Once all pieces are assembled, mark the seam of the front and back pieces at the shoulder, and the bottom of the v neck. Attach the yarn at the back of the neck, and hdc around, hdc3tog at each st marker. Break yarn, weave in all ends.

Neck edging: Mark the seam of the front and back pieces at the shoulder, and the bottom of the v
neck. Attach the yarn at the back of the neck and hdc evenly around, working hdc3tog at each st
marker, join in first st with sl st. Fasten off, weave in all ends.
