Tiny Angel Wings crochet pattern
They make perfect appliques that can be sewn on by hand or machine. Add some ornament hooks and they are perfect on a tree. Earring hooks or loops make fantastic earrings! Try them out. Materials:
Crochet Thread- Aunt Lydia's Natural/Gold Size 5
Steel Crochet Hook Size 4/2.00mm, scissors, large thread needle or darning needle, ornament hooks/ earring hooks or loops
Notes: Work back and forth, across the top, around the corners and sometimes down the other side. Chain 2 does not count as a stitch throughout this pattern.
Gauge: Not crucial for this pattern.

Make 2
R1: Chain 31, sc 30, chain 1, turn
R2: Hdc across, chain 1, turn (30sts)
R3: Skip 1, slip stitch 4, chain 2, hdc into same stitch as the last slip stitch, hdc 25 across, chain 1, turn – 26 sts
NOTE: My picture only has a slip stitch of 3 so don’t let that throw you.
R4: Hdc 26, chain 1, turn – 26 sts
R5: Skip 1, slip stitch 3, chain 2, hdc in same st as last slip stitch, hdc 22 across, chain 1, turn – 23 sts
R6: Hdc 23, chain 1, turn – 23 sts
R7: Skip 1, slip stitch 3, chain 2, hdc in same stitch as last slip stitch, hdc 19 across, chain 1, turn – 20 sts
R8: Hdc 20, chain 1, turn – 20 sts
R9: Skip 1, slip stitch 10, sc 2, hdc 3, dc 4, [dc, hdc 2] in corner and continue working around the top, hdc 9 across, 3 hdc in first stitch working around and down the side now, hdc 9, sc, slip stitch, chain 1, turn – 34 sts
R10: Hdc in same stitch as chain, hdc 10, * 2 hdc in next stitch, repeat from * 2 times (6 stitches over 3 stitches working around the corner back across the top), hdc 9 (not to end of row), chain 1, turn – 26 sts
R11: Hdc 10, [hdc, dc] in the next st, * 2 dc in next stitch, repeat from * (4 stitches over 2 stitches working around corner), dc, hdc 3, sc 2, slip stitch, chain 1, turn – 22 sts
R12: Hdc 6, 2 hdc in next st, hdc, * 2 hdc in next stitch, repeat from * (4 stitches over 2 stitches), hdc 10, sc, slip stitch, chain 1, (down the side now, refer to pic) sc 2 where sticks point, dc in recessed corner where metal hook points, hdc 2, ** 2 hdc in next stitch repeat from ** (4 stitches over 2 stitches), sc 3, slip stitch 3, sc 5, hdc, chain 2, turn – 41 sts

R13: Working around to the other side- hdc 5, sc, slip stitch 3, sc 4, * 2 sc in next stitch, repeat from * (4 stitches over 2 stitches), hdc 2, 2 hdc in next stitch, hdc, 2 hdc in next stitch, hdc 3, dc 7, tr 4, 2 tr in next stitch, tr, ** 2 tr in next stitch, repeat from ** (4 stitches over 2 stitches), tr, dc 3, hdc 5.
Work the next stitch of this “feather” like this: dc, chain 1, dc, hdc to work around the corner. Chain 2, slip stitch down into recessed corner that I’ve pointed out with a wooden stick
Next feather: tighten up the previous slip stitch and chain 1, continuing in the same direction sc 5. Work the next stitch of this “feather” like this: hdc, chain 1, hdc 2, chain 1, slip stitch into recessed corner similar to previous method. Next feather: tighten up the previous slip stitch and chain 1, sc 17 and fasten off.
