Baby Blanket Crochet Pattern
This Bubbles Baby pattern has been my go-to pattern when someone requests a baby blanket. It is poofy and delicious no matter which yarn you use for the project. You will need two strands of worsted weight yarn held together to make this delicious crocheted texture. Ravelry calls for “a 9.00 mm hook (M/N)” while I use my Susan Bates N-hook and 2 strands of Simply Soft.
Fantastic for the beginner, I can sometimes work this pattern up in a matter of 2 hours when I'm in the zone. Other times, I just really enjoy the combination of stitches and prefer to watch it come together. Most times, I'm making it for someone I really care for and just take my time.
Since I've been using this pattern for 4 years, I absolutely love that Deneen St Amour adds the multiples so you may make this any size blanket you desire. Her pattern is wonderful and you will find that changing the yarn and hook size will create such a different texture that you will fall in love with this right away. I can't wait to make this blanket, always looking for new patterns. I give my local hospital the blankets I make as gifts to newborn infants.
