Slouch hat free crochet pattern
After her honeymoon, Penelope and her husband followed Coraline to New Mexico. Penelope has dreads and she really wanted a cute hat for their visit so I worked up one of these slouches. She loves flowers of all types and she chose the one from my free flower pattern HERE. This 0utstanding hat is simple, yet whimsical, and fun for every day wear. Keep your hair from blowing wildly at the beach, or allow it to blow wildly and tame it with Penelope's Slouch for the cafe. This is a great hat for dreads, too. Made in cotton, you may add a matching market bag as well. See the Sturdiest Ever Market Bag HERE.

Special Stitches
How to decrease stitch (abbreviation is “dec”): This is otherwise known as “sc2tog” and here are those instructions. Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook. That is one decrease.
Notes
Beginning stitches count as a stitch. This pattern is worked in rounds as one piece. The Adult size is worked with two strands together as one using a K-hook while the others are single strand using an H-hook.
