Crochet Lovey Pattern

Crochet Lovey Pattern - Lovey Shells and Chevrons - free crochet pattern by Simply Collectible

I was inspired by Red Heart Yarns Baby Hugs to make Lovey Shells and Chevrons mostly because of the softness of the yarn. In working out several stitches with it, I knew I wanted the piece to pop with shadows and contrasting stitches. You must work with this yarn to feel how lovely it is. My favorite part is that it is certified chemical free! That is perfect for baby and for those of us with compromised immune systems.

I don't see where in the instructions it says how many chains to make to start either of these patterns. Please help.

Hi Cathy, Sorry about that, we've updated the pattern now and it shows you'll need to chain 38.

Celina, thank you for another lovely pattern -- beautiful in both solid and striped versions.

Just a note about the yarn...Red Heart Baby Hugs comes in two weights. Baby Hugs MEDIUM is a #4 worsted/heavy worsted weight yarn and Baby Hugs LIGHT is a #3 DK weight.

The wrappers for the yarn are very similar, they even use the same baby picture. Look below the picture of the baby on the label. That is where you will see either "Light" or "Medium." Just want to be sure people purchase the yarn weight needed.

The Medium worsted weight is listed as discontinued on the Red Heart website, but some stock is still available in stores and online.

Again, thanks for this pattern and all the patterns you make available to all of us. They are much appreciated, and I'm sure they have been used used to make so many beautiful things that are being enjoyed by so many.
