How to make a slip knot
You will find many or zero reasons to use a slip knot, but if you work with yarn or rope, chances are 99.9% that you will have to make a slip knot. The slip knot is easier than tying shoe laces. So let's get on to how.
Hold the shorter end (beginning tail) toward you and the longer end (from the source) behind your hand.
Create a loop with the beginning tail on top.
Flip your loop up so the beginning tail is now sandwiched and the source end is centered in the middle of the loop.
Reaching in the middle of the loop, grab the source end and pull it through the loop.
Congratulations! You've made a slip knot.
