Sweetest Lil Witch, free crochet pattern by Celina Lane, SimplyCollectibleCrochet.com |- It's FREE so you can make your own decor or gifts.

This Sweetest Lil Witch Amigurumi Crochet Pattern makes a little trick-or-treater Witch amigurumi doll. It comes with instructions for her personalized trick-or-teat bag! She’s not very traditional, but neither am I. My husband says she looks Tim Burton-ish. Makes perfect sense to me. The first time I saw anything by Tim Burton, I instantly felt nostalgic.

Candy corn pattern is NOT included but can be found as a tutorial HERE to make them Hair Ties as well!

Materials:

Red Heart Super Saver- black, orange, white, flesh color (You may choose any colour for effect on the skin- lavender, grey, pink, white, green.)
F-hook/ 3.75mm, G-hook/ 4.00mm
Safety Eyes, Permanent Marker or Yarn for the eyes
Yarn needle
Scissors
Polyfill

 Abbreviations:

sc- single crochet
dec- decrease (described below)
st- stitch
sts- stitches
pu- pick up

Tips for making amigurumi: When working up amigurumi, the stitches should be tight in order to contain the polyfill. You will stuff the critters pretty tightly by using rolled up, small pieces of polyfill to really get it firm so it doesn’t lose its shape.

How to decrease (abbreviation is “dec”): Also known as “sc2tog”. Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook. That is one decrease.

This pattern is worked in the round. You will use your stitch marker to tell you where your row ends and where it begins. Start from the top and work down.

Decorate bag:
When doing any lettering, I make little dots with a washable marker the same color as the fabric. If I goof or don’t like it, I can rub it with a damp washcloth and it just fades in. For this bag, I used worsted weight yarn and gently pulled it through between the stitches with a yarn needle. You may dab a little fabric glue around the yarn or under it if you think it will go through some playtime. I use a craft glue by Elmer’s that dries clear.
