Pattern
To work “between” two stitches, insert your hook between the posts of the stitches and work your stitch as normal. There is no ch-sp, your hook is going into the gap between posts. This counts as having worked both the stitches you’re working between, so the next instruction will start with the following stitch.
Front/Back Panel (Make 2) Ch 32 [36, 38, 40, 44, 46, 50]
Row 1 (RS): Hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across. (30 [34, 36, 38, 42, 44, 48] hdc)
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc throughout), turn, [2 dc in next st, sk next st] across to last st, dc in last st. (30 [34, 36, 38, 42, 44, 48] dc)
Rows 3-25 [27, 30, 34, 38, 41, 46]: Ch 3, turn, [2 dc between next 2 dc] across to last st, dc in last st.
Last Row: Ch 3, turn, dc in next st and each st across.
Fasten off.
Weave in ends.

Finishing:
Place front/back panels together with RS facing.
At the top edge, sew layers together for 5 [6, 8, 8, 10, 10, 12] stitches in from each side, leaving the remaining sts open in the center (neck opening).
At each side edge, leave the top 7 [8, 9, 10, 11, 11, 12] rows open (armhole), and sew the remaining rows together to the bottom.
Turn top right side out.
